LONDON INTERNATIONAL MUSIC SHOW
EXCEL, LONDON 12-15 JUNE 2008
EDUCATION DAY: FRIDAY 13 JUNE

Access to Music was a major education partner in the exciting new London International Music Show held at Excel in the Docklands during June.

This was an exciting new initiative for music-making in the UK and Access to Music was proud to have a role on the steering group of this pivotal event.

The UK has long needed a world-class international music show along the lines of NAMM in Los Angeles and the Frankfurt Show. The UK has played a key role in the development of popular music and has always produced, and continues to produce, outstanding musical talent. The UK is also a world leader in the development and practice of popular music education. It is only right then that England's capital city should now play host to such a show.

The show consisted of four exhibitions in one covering four halls: Drummer Live, London Guitar Show, Sound Recording Technology Show and Unplugged.

Access to Music organised the Festival Field area which was an exciting music education festival-style experience. See below for more details. ATM also had a presence in the Education Lounge and had a trade stand.
