ACCESS TO MUSIC AT
MUSIC LIVE 2008
Incorporating SOUNDS EXPO
7-9 November 2008, NEC Birmingham
Access to Music was proud to once again be the lead partner for Music Live Education Day.
As the UK’s most vibrant central music-making event, Music Live, now incorporating Sounds Expo, is the place to check out the latest and greatest gear from the world’s most famous brands. From electric guitars to software, drums to amplification, the exhibition area is crammed full of stuff to get your hands on.
ATM hosted the Get Experienced Festival Tent in the main exhibition hall, which was the venue for an exciting range of festival-themed music activities and performances in partnership with Syllabus and Yamaha. The tent was decorated like a festival marquee with green grass carpet, hay bales and even a contact/info washing line.
The line-up included industry-related chat show features with artists, managers, record labels and hearing protection people plus live performances from student artists and professional acts including Aruba Red, Gabbidon (ex-Steel Pulse) and the top UK Hendrix tribute act, Are You Experienced? There were also interactive music-making opportunities with Yamaha's amazing Tenori-on light controller.
Access to Music also hosted the popular Busker's Corner situated right at the entrance to the show. Here aspiring singer\songwriters, rappers, musicians and MCs entertained the crowds while competing for the Best Busker prize which was won Kap Hock.
Finally our improved Staffroom proved a great hit with teachers on Education Day offering the chance to get away from the noise for a free coffee and a chat.
