VOCAL ARTIST: OVERVIEW
 
 

 

By doing this course you will:

  • Develop your vocal and musicianship skills.
  • Learn how to protect your voice and rehearse effectively.
  • Generate repertoire and dance skills.
  • Refine your performances and your communication.
  • Understand how to make your act unique and relevant.
  • Record songs in a studio.
  • Perform live in pro venues.
  • Learn how to promote you and your music and get it to the people that matter.
  • Get access to regional and national music opportunities (participating centres only).
  • Create CDs, MP3s and podcasts and promote your music online.
  • Gain a recognised and industry-relevant qualification. Courses lead to Rockschool/ATM Diplomas at Levels 1 and 2 (GCSE equivalent) and Level 3 (A Level equivalent). One-year Diplomas generate 48 ten-hour credits. The two-year Level 3 Diploma generates 96 ten-hour credits. Qualifications are unit-based and assessment is focused on practical music-making activities.
  • Gain access to Higher Education popular music courses (Level 3 only).
