The British Academy of New Music (Further Education) is a dedicated music education facility situated in the East End of London in the heart of the fast developing Olympic village. It is the FE wing of the British Academy of New Music which also incorporates a Higher Education department.

The centre offers a wide range of courses at Levels 1 to 3 for aspiring musicians from the eastern regions of London and generally from inner and greater London.

The centre has eleven rehearsal studios, two recording studios, two music technology suites, practice rooms, a dance studio and seminar rooms. It is staffed by an experienced team of musicians.

The centre offers excellent opportunities for music work-based learning within the capital.

Skinnyman visits BANM
Hip hops foremost rapper Skinnyman visited students at the British Academy of New Music (BANM) in November to talk about artist development, the music business, style and technique. The rapper is widely known for his 2004 album Council Estate of Mind which gained him commercial and critical acclaim. www.skinnyman.co.uk

Richard Lianhart Steps Up For Debut Release
We've seen him grace London's West End stage, feature in adverts for Coca-Cola and MTV and record and produce the soundtrack for Dove's 'Summer Glow' TV ad, using just his voice. 2009 sees vocalist/beatboxer/producer Richard Lainhart release of his debut material. www.myspace.com/richardlianhart

TRAVELLING BY TUBE
The nearest stations to the ATM Studios are Bromley By Bow and Bow Road on the District and Hammersmith & City lines. The Academy is about a 10 minute walk from Bromley by Bow tube. The Studios are also accessible from the Stratford station.
